In this client-side role supporting the Legal Operations EMEA &amp; APAC Lead, you will assist with pricing proposals, fee negotiations, AI pricing solutions, and financial analysis.<br />\n<br />\nFocusing on pricing, AI innovation, and BAU operational support, you will manage analysis and deliverables under the Lead's direction while participating in law firm discussions. The primary objective is maintaining legal spend within approved budgets via value-driven fee structures that uphold legal service quality.<br />\n<br />\nCandidates must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week). responsibilities<br />\n<br />\nPricing</strong></span></span></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Develop financial models, pricing proposals, and matter budgets with in-house counsel, evaluating scenarios against budgets and market benchmarks while clarifying assumptions and trade-offs.</li>\n\t<li>&nbsp;Identify alternative and value-based fee opportunities, documenting scope, exclusions, and change controls to enhance predictability.</li>\n\t<li>Prepare suitable fee arrangements for service delivery models which involve legal tech solutions, AI, or alternative legal service providers (ALSPs).</li>\n\t<li>Prepare negotiation briefs and commercial recommendations for the Lead, joining external discussions to explain pricing models and document outcomes.</li>\n\t<li>Benchmark market rates across EMEA and APAC, analyzing historical spend, staffing, and vendor performance to refine pricing, delivery, and future proposals.</li>\n\t<li>Factor regional macroeconomic conditions—including exchange rates and inflation across EMEA and APAC—into fee evaluations and briefs.</li>\n\t<li>Manage RFPs and bid analyses with outside counsel, partnering with legal and RFP lightweight automations, assessing accuracy, time savings, and value before broader rollout.</li>\n\t<li>Apply approved AI tools with strict data controls, ensuring human review of financial outputs corrective recommendations.</li>\n\t<li>&nbsp;Assist with accruals and reporting, collaborating with internal teams and outside counsel to resolve invoice discrepancies.</li>\n\t<li>Verify invoice compliance with agreed rates and fee arrangements while maintaining accurate pricing and financial records.</li>\n\t<li>&nbsp;Create dashboards on spend, savings, and budget risks, using standardized reporting to streamline recurring finance requests.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size:14.0px\"><strong>Skills and experience</strong></span><br />\n<strong>Essential</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>5+ years in legal sector pricing, commercial finance, or procurement.</li>\n\t<li>&nbsp;Law firm background in pricing or commercial finance, leveraging knowledge of fee structures, leverage, and profitability for client-side pricing.</li>\n\t<li>EMEA and APAC legal market exposure, understanding regional macroeconomic pricing drivers.</li>\n\t<li>Experience with outside counsel management, rate benchmarking, AFAs, and fee negotiations.</li>\n\t<li>Strong financial modelling skills to analyze spend, model pricing, and deliver recommendations.</li>\n\t<li>Ability to analyse multi-currency proposals, separating exchange-rate impact from rate changes.</li>\n\t<li>&nbsp;Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, accruals, eBilling, and financial reporting with strict controls.</li>\n\t<li>Practical familiarity with AI tools to identify use cases, evaluate outputs, and explain limitations.</li>\n\t<li>Strong communication skills to explain financial analysis to internal and external partners.</li>\n\t<li>Proactive and independent, balancing innovation projects with urgent BAU queries.</li>\n\t<li>Proficient in Google Workspace and MS Office, with strong cross-functional relationship-building skills.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>&nbsp;Prior experience in an in-house legal department, with an understanding of client-side budget management and outside counsel engagement.</li>\n\t<li>&nbsp;Basic knowledge of prompting, building lightweight AI tools, or developing no-code/low-code workflows; coding or AI-tool development experience is beneficial but not mandatory.</li>\n\t<li>&nbsp;Experience piloting AI-enabled pricing, legal operations or finance solutions and measuring their impact.</li>\n\t<li>Prior experience at a Technology, Financial Services or Life Sciences company.</li>\n\t<li>Familiarity with eBilling, matter management and RFP software.</li>\n\t<li>Familiarity with Tableau or other dashboarding and reporting
